On this 10th Anniversary of Team Winglovitz, we are honoring Gary and his legacy by building our largest team yet!  Our family has set an ambitious goal of $10,000 to rally support for the Delaware Youth Center, through race participants, donations and sponsorship and we would be honored if you joined us.  

Tragically, we lost Gary on July 9, 2014 to suicide.  As you may know, he was an avid runner and a huge proponant for community service.   His love for his hometown and supporting community held strong throughout his entire life. In his memory, and with the collective efforts of our children, the entire Winglovitz/Stewart family, and our circle of friends, we continue to uphold these values through our involvement in the DYC River Race.

We extend an open invitation to you to join Team Winglovitz in whatever capacity resonates with you and welcome you sharing this page in supporting the Delaware Youth Center.

The 26th Annual Delaware Youth Center River Race will take place on Sunday, July 21st along the beautiful Delaware River. With over 400 participants ranging from ages 5 to 85, we welcome runners and walkers of all ages and are excited to see both new and familiar faces again this year. Our race boasts some of the most scenic views in New York State with a fast, flat course along the Delaware River, perfect for personal records.
All proceeds will benefit the Delaware Youth Center in Callicoon, NY.

Gary A. Winglovitz Virtual Race:
The Gary A. Winglovitz Virtual Race began in 2019, named for one of our own: Gary Winglovitz, a kid who grew up in Cochecton and spent his childhood at the Delaware Youth Center. Gary died in 2014 at 41, and his family and friends have come out in force ever since to run the River Race in his memory. The Youth Center would like to thank the Stewart/Winglovitz family for their support and generosity.
