The 27th Annual Delaware Youth Center River Race will take place on Sunday, July 20th along the beautiful Delaware River. With over 500 participants ranging from ages 5 to 89, we welcome runners and walkers of all ages and are excited to see both new and familiar faces again this year. Our race boasts some of the most scenic views in New York State with a fast, flat course along the Delaware River, perfect for personal records.
All proceeds will benefit the Delaware Youth Center in Callicoon, NY.

Race Details:

Date: Sunday, July 20, 2025
Distances: 5K Run/Walk; 10K Run; and Virtual Run/Walk
Time: Club Runners start time 8:15am; Fun Runners start time 8:18am; Walkers/Families/Strollers start time 8:22am
Location: Delaware Youth Center, 8 Creamery Road, Callicoon, NY
T-shirts guaranteed for the first 400 registrants
Award ceremony and raffle drawing at 10:00am on race day
Awards for top three Female/Male runners and by age group
Awards for top three Female/Male walkers
Packet pickup on Saturday, July 19th 1:00pm - 4:00pm at the Delaware Youth Center
Same day registration 7:00am - 8:00am
Bagels and fruit after the race
Strollers are allowed; Dogs are not allowed

Gary A. Winglovitz Virtual Race:
The Gary A. Winglovitz Virtual Race began in 2019, named for one of our own: Gary Winglovitz, a kid who grew up in Cochecton and spent his childhood at the Delaware Youth Center. Gary died in 2014 at 41, and his family and friends have come out in force ever since to participate in the River Race in his memory. The Youth Center would like to thank the Stewart/Winglovitz family for their support and generosity.
